Character Counts: Kindness

November begins our Character Education Focus this year. We begin in November because it provides so many opportunities for us to demonstrate our character to our school and to our community.

What does Kindness look like?

  • Show concern for others

  • Refuse to tease or ridicule others

  • Treat everyone fairly

  • Include others in activities

  • Make sure no one sits alone at break or lunch

  • Compliment others

  • Put others first

  • Give to others

  • Be polite and respectful to everyone

World Kindness Day: November 13

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation has declared November 13 as RAK Day. Everyone is encouraged to perform a random act of kindness. Of course, acts of kindness are important for us to perform as often as possible, but perhaps the focus on RAK on November 13 will make the world a better place--at least for one day!

November 15: Shoeboxes + Toy Boxes Chapel at 9:00 a.m.

CCS will have a special chapel for students and their famlies, staff, and faculty for the collection of shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child charity and for the Shelby Baptist Christmas Gift Shop. We are excited about making a difference across the globe as well as here at home.

Come join us and our special guests as we pray for the children whose lives will be touched by our simple acts of kindness.
